Founded in 1976 by Dr. Barbara Meihoefer, Publication Services began as a high-level editorial facility. Soon thereafter, with increased market demand, Dr. Meihoefer changed focus toward full-service book production. Today's Publication Services is dedicated to providing a full range of book and document production services for authors and publishers, including such traditional services as copyediting, proofreading, art production, composition, project management, and indexing, and also creating multimedia, electronic books, XML files, databases, and even programming.
We carry on Dr. Meihoefer's original vision---Publication Services is a book production facility dedicated to the editorial quality of the end product. In today's competitive world, the management and staff at Publication Services are always looking for ways to provide their customers services that are faster, cheaper, and above all, better than anyone else in the marketplace.
Location, Location, Location
Our prime location in Champaign, Illinois allows us to recruit the best possible talent at reasonable prices, which we then pass on to our customers. In addition to our Champaign facility, Publication Services also has offshore branches to aid in the development of quality composition, file conversion, and database development. All offshore product is quality checked by our corporate office prior to shipping to our clients.
